General traffic information
Below you will find an overview of the closing times in Schleswig-Holstein, as well as for the Hamburg city area. In the city area, we mostly work with fixed closing times, which start at a fixed time and also end after fixed times - please note that the start and finish areas are closed early due to major construction work.
In Schleswig-Holstein, the respective road will be closed in the transit towns approx. 45 minutes before the arrival of the respective field. As soon as the field and all accompanying vehicles have passed, the police will open the road again. For operational reasons, these closures may continue for a moment after the field has passed. Please note that these are approximate closure times, which may vary depending on the average speed of the riders - this is how we ensure that the roads are only closed for the necessary duration of the individual races. In some cases, sections of the route are used by several race fields; the road remains closed between the individual race fields due to police orders, but the route can then be crossed at designated crossing points.
